Review: Tokyo Mirage Sessions #Fire Emblem (J-Pop Overkill for Wii U)

It is funny how almost every Westerner reacts with determined rejection at Japanese stuff. I am pretty sure it has something to do with cultural differences but when it gets too noisy and colorful, many people turn around in disgust.
Luckily, I was born without such a reflex and this puts me in the position to actually enjoy a game like this that revels in the Japanese culture. And trust me, you are missing out on something really good here.

Review: The incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut

Neocore Games, the developer behind this game, is such a generous company. Everyone who owns parts of the original trilogy gets the Final Cut at a reduced price. As a proud owner of all three games (that´s how many belong in a trilogy) I got it for free. It is hard to say no to this temptation so I travelled back to the inky lands of Borgova.

Review: Xenoblade Chronicles X (Chapter 4: Exploration)

Now we arrive at the heart and soul of the game. Exploration was cleverly included in the game´s main goal since you need to locate the countless fragments of your spaceship and this is achieved by charting and taming the unexplored land. And what a blast this charting is!

Review: Xenoblade Chronicles X (Chapter 3: Character growth)

When you start out in Xenoblade Chronicles your character is very vulnerable and you need to hide away from most of the wildlife. As your characters develop their abilities this will gradually change, of course. This is a RPG, after all. The following lines will investigate the oddities of levelling and solve the question whether you can rely on your AI partners.

Review: Xenoblade Chronicles X (Chapter 2: Combat)

There is a lot of depth to the combat in Xenoblade Chronicles X. In fact, it is so deep it will be certainly overwhelming at first and stay like that for quite a long time. But that is okay, you have ample time to get familiar with the mechanics due to the sheer size of the game. If combat was designed less complex, it would lose its appeal and may not be able to support the length of the game. So let us take a look at all the different layers you have to consider for your optimal strategy.

Review: Xenoblade Chronicles X (Chapter 1: General)

Back in the days when Xenoblade Chronicles was released in Europe, it was such a joy that it even banished the recently released Skyrim from my daily schedule. It was a surprise hit for me since it came without much advertisement and was so unexpectedly good. So now we get the brand-new Xenoblade Chronicles X. And it is again released back-to-back with one of Bethesda´s finest: Fallout 4. Will it be able to hold its ground against the overpowering competitor?

Review: Din´s Curse (+ add-on Demon War)

The current action-RPG genre looks like that: you have two gigantic mammoth trees called "Diablo 3" and "Path of Exile" that pretty much get all of the sun. And not much can grow below in the dark. Surprisingly enough, some strange but beautiful flowers still manage to blossom down here.
